Sponsor Highlight: Lake CVB and Tri-County Lodging
For our sponsor highlight this week, we would like to recognize two organizations that help to promote business and tourism at the Lake of the Ozarks, especially through great events such as Lake Bikefest! Without these amazing organizations, we would not be able to pull off this amazing motorcycle event at the Lake of the Ozarks with such success!
Through the support of a membership of over 650 businesses in the tri-country region and a portion of the tri-county lodging tax, the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitors Bureau is able to present the Lake of the Ozarks as a premier vacation spot in the Midwest. With 11 full-time and 7 part-time staff members, the Lake CVB works to benefit the Lake Area businesses by increasing the number of people visiting and relocating to the Lake of the Ozarks. The Lake CVB uses an integrated marketing approach to sell the Lake Area as a travel destination, which includes direct sales, sales blitzes and telemarketing, advertising and direct mail, tourism and convention industry trade shows, boat, sport and travel shows, internet promotions on Funlake.com, e-mail blasts, websites and e-newsletters, Vacation Service Guide, Lake Life publication, Restaurant Guide, public relations and press tours, and familiarization tours.
The Lake of the Ozarks Tri-County Lodging Association formed out of the need for enough funding to adequately advertise and promote the Lake Area as a premier destination spot in the Midwest. Since the lodging tax was passed, the advertising budget has increased from approximately $150,000 to close to $2 million. In addition to advertising in magazines, newspapers, internet web sites, television, radio and billboards, TCLA also uses these funds to sponsor special events and festivals, such as Lake Bikefest 2014, that attract visitors to the Lake Area. TCLA provides start up funding for new events in hopes that they will sustain themselves financially within 2 to 3 years. These special events at the Lake of the Ozarks are what make visitors choose the Lake over other vacation destinations.

In addition to the scenery, you will experience over 50 live music and entertainment shows at many of our 200+ participating bars and restaurants at this year's Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest!
