Cruise the Strip on Your Bike at Hot Summer Nights
The Nights are Getting Hotter!
Thousands of spectators from all over Missouri and surrounding states come to Lake of the Ozarks for Hot Summer Nights. On the second Friday of the month, now through September, cruises are held on the historic mile-long Bagnell Dam Strip. Cars, trucks and motorcycles, regardless of make or model, are invited to cruise the Strip. This award-winning event has become one of the largest monthly cruises in Missouri. This family-friendly car and motorcycle show at Lake of the Ozarks has something for everyone – atmosphere, entertainment and shopping – all along the Strip.
"Rag Tops and T-Tops" – June 10
When cars were first invented, they were buggy-style, so they did not have roofs. Some didn’t even have windshields or windows! By the 20th century, cars came with fabric roofs or folding tops, creating the first rag top. During our June cruise, rag top and T-top vehicles are encouraged to participate. Old or new, guests will be able to see these cars in action while enjoying the variety of activities and entertainment available on the Strip.
"Rats, Rods and Street Machines" – July 8
Hot rods have a large engine modified for linear speed. Rat rods take an exaggerated take on traditional hot rod and often look unfinished with parts of the car, such as the engine, exposed. If you have a rat rod, hot rod or street machine, make sure to take it for a cruise and show it off on the Bagnell Dam Strip.

"Since ’66 – 50 years of Cruising the Strip" – August 12
The 60s were a memorable decade. Many events and memories took place; one in particular was unforgettable to the Lake area, which was when Lake Ozark became a fourth-class city. Lake Ozark plans to honor this occasion with a weekend-long celebration. This festivities kick off with Hot Summer Nights featuring cars of all makes and models.
Vetts for Veterans – September 9
This longtime tradition honors veterans at the final cruise of Hot Summer Nights. Lake of the Ozarks Corvette Club members will be holding a parade to honor Lake Area veterans of all services and military branches. The parade will begin at around 6:10 to 6:15 p.m. and proceed down Bagnell Dam Blvd. The Fort Leonard Wood Color Guard will lead them at McDonald’s and down the Bagnell Dam Strip.
This car and motorcycle event at Lake of the Ozarks is something you don't want to miss! There will be activities and entertainment during every cruise, from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. While Lake Bikefest isn't for a few more months, there's still plenty of things happening at the Lake!
