  We’re so close to Lake Bikefest 2022! We’re preparing for the week we’ve all been waiting for! From September 14-18 we’re hosting our 16 th ultimate Bikefest experience. We have motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the nation joining us in Lake of the Ozarks for our annual event, Lake Bikefest 2022.   This iconic rally near mid-Missouri began back in 2006. It was put together by local businesses for motorcyclists to get to know the Lake of the Ozarks area. They wanted riders to get to view the breath-taking views of the Lake and the twisty roads surrounding the area. It’s a motorcyclist’s dream.   To this day, participants still go on some of the U.S.’s most scenic routes around the Lake and through Lake of the Ozark hills. What’s even better is Bikefest hosts over 300 biker-friendly lodging, restaurants, and bars. That means amazing food, a Harley Davidson Bike giveaway, fun concerts, and a comfortable night’s sleep.   Obviously, motorcyclists have different preferences when it comes to gear. However, Lake Bikefest has a strong recommendation of motorcycle gear to be worn when going for long rides. Especially if you are joining us for our annual event this September, Lake Bikefest 2022 , it’s great to start preparing by stocking up with gear. We have some suggestions for you to get you started.   Obviously, it’s recommended that you wear what’s most comfortable for you. Find the best ways to protect yourself while riding. Therefore, wearing a helmet is so crucial to your well-being. Whether you’re riding a short or long distance, always wear a helmet.   You can even make your helmet more comfortable for you while riding. In order to prepare for long adventures, such as, the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest this September, you’ve got to prepare and clean your gear.  Having clean gear makes it safer for you to travel. Cleaning dead bugs off your visor and cleaning the inside of your helmet to avoid irritation make a smoother ride for you! No worries – Bikefest is here to help you navigate through this process! 1. Collect the correct materials In order to effectively clean the external and internal of your helmet, you’ll need the correct supplies: • Water bucket with warm soapy water • Microfiber cloths • Mesh garment bag • Detail and wax • Q-tip or toothbrush • Carnauba wax 2. Clean the external Usually, hardened debris ends up on the external of your helmet. To avoid this in the future, right after your next ride, take the microfiber cloth and wet it. Then, lay the cloth over the debris on the helmet for a few minutes to soften up the hardened materials. Take the cloth and start gently scru
