Captain Ron's Bar and Grill is home to many great events here at the Lake of the Ozarks, so it would only make sense that they be a part of one of the largest motorcycle rallies in Missouri! Lake Bikefest 2014 would not be possible without all the wonderful sponsors around the Lake such as Captain Ron's. Captain Ron's opened its doors in November of 2006 after renovating an old 1960's mobile home park. After a year or patching and fixing, it was decided to tear it all down and start from scratch. After 3 months of construction, the new Captain Ron's set sail. During the Summer of 2008, 300 feet of lakefront was added for a total of 700 feet and 3 more rental homes were remodeled making 7 total. Treasure Pass was completed for an easy stroll to the rentals and a second beach, Cannonball beach, plus 2 new tiki bars and a beach volleyball court were also added.
The Shootout, one of the largest events at the Lake of the Ozarks, made Captain Ron's its new home in August of 2008 bringing a renewed energy to the event. The 22nd anniversary in 2010 saw record attendance as over 80,000 people showed up to witness 110 racers set dozens of records, including Dave Scott's blistering 208 mph. Captain Ron's features many other great events at the Lake such as Cappie Masters State Tournament, the World's Largest Pontoon Party, Lake Bikefest, the Marine Dealers Fall in the Water Boat Clearance Show and the 2 Dam Days Paddle Race. Also check out the 100 days of Summer with activities everyday from Memorial Day to Labor Day!
In addition to all these great events, Captain Ron's is available to host your special event! From weddings to family reunions to corporate retreats, Captain Ron's Buccaneer Bay in Sunrise Beach is the perfect location. Relax and enjoy the comfort and convenience of staying in the vacation homes. The wonderful sandy beach is the perfect backdrop for your special day!
In 2011, Captain Ron's added a new adventure, their own pirate ship! The Gypsy Rose is running on weekends by reservations only. Please call 573-480-4359 for reservations. Let their very own Pirates entertain you all summer long, not only on the Gypsy Rose, but also they will have scheduled times in the Restaurant.
